Ultrasonic Testing Service
Ultrasonic testing (UT) is a form of quality assurance that utilizes high frequency sound energy to ensure the quality of carbon steel products. Such testing is important for buyers who are looking for high-quality steel plates suitable for specific projects. The goal is to detect and disqualify plates that have too many inherent flaws/defects inside.
Ultrasonic testing is generally conducted at 2 levels 435 Level-B and 578 Level-B. All other different types of Testing Services are available for our customers. Our customers are free to witness the UT testing and hence be rest assured that NITCO is providing them with the best quality products – without any flaws/defects along with accurate dimensional measurement.
Lab Testing & Inspection
NITCO offers its customers with Visual Inspection and Testing services to check for overlapping, cracks, pitting, dimension accuracy, and seams prior to purchasing the material. NITCO arranges for Third Party Inspector (TPI) from Inspection agencies and also has tie-ups with local NABL approved laboratories. If the customer wishes to send their own QC/TPI Inspector at our works, they are free to do so.
Mill Test Certificates are provided as a sign of quality, and guarantee that our product meets quality, safety and reliability standards. In this way, customers can assess the overall nature and condition of steel products as well as satisfy their Technical Delivery Conditions (TDC).
Cutting Services
NITCO holds a huge selection of plate and sheet inventory, consisting of over 45 Steel Grades and thicknesses ranging from 1.6 mm to 600 mm. By offering a diverse inventory with customised plate cutting capabilities, NITCO is uniquely positioned to provide cost and time savings opportunities to the end user as compared to other distribution centres. To best meet our customers’ specific requirements, we offer in-house Gas Cutting and Trolley Cutting Services.
Transportation and Logistics
Over the past 40 years, along with building good business relations with our customers and suppliers, NITCO has maintained a great rapport with its transporters. By leveraging our strong and long-term transporter relationships, NITCO offers flexible, reliable and secure freight services Pan-India. Once the Purchase Order is issued, the customer’s job is done. NITCO takes over from here and executes all the necessary operations to ensure a timely and smooth delivery.
From delivery scheduling to route planning and vehicle management, NITCO provides complete support because we understand how important it is for our customers to receive their material in good condition, on time, and at the correct delivery spot.
Import of Steel

Export of Steel
NITCO began exporting steel to various neighbouring countries like Nepal,Bangladesh and Sri Lanka starting from the year 2007.Since then, it has opened up a new gate for the growth story of NITCO.
